To Industry Colleagues, Friends and Acquaintances
The award winning new feature film
written and directed by
Roger Hendricks Simon
"The performances are superb. Most impressive is Simon, whose expressive face
evokes the weary life of a retired civil servant and longtime widower
still haunted by the memory of his late wife....
a man breaking out of his self-imposed shell despite his better judgement.
- an utterly charming independent film." - BACKSTAGE
scenarios over the phone, and the unabashed eagerness with which he hovers
over drop- in visitors affords some well timed comedy bits." - VARIETY
"Roger Hendricks Simon's performance balances just the right amount of pathos, charisma & great comic timing so you're always captivated whenever he's on screen. He often seems like a less neurotic version of WoodyAllen.......Heartwarming, funny and wise.
A refreshingly original, witty and crowd-pleasing gem."-- NYC Movie Guru

THE SIMON STUDIO
announces audition/audits for their current Summer
SHAKESPEARE & FILM TRAINING & PERFORMANCE LAB
directed by Mr. Simon
On camera Group and/or Private workshop sessions uniquely combining
classical readings and stagings of monologues/scenes, vocal
contemporary film/theatre work & showcases including Agent and Industry Nights
and our upcoming annual
BARD @ THE BAR this fall -
a collage performance including scenes, songs and dance
by William Shakespeare,
featuring current studio members, alumni and guests
from film and the Broadway and London stage.
"... an impressive group of scenes, using every inch of the expansive
room, as well as audience members, as part of the ambiance... a '60's
style street theatre environment, (where) audience members wandered in
and out and photographers documented the performance. Strict homage
was paid to the Bard's language, with vivid, highly physicalized
portrayals by all. Actors of all shapes, sizes and ages were
encouraged to share their talents, eschewing the youth-oriented look
of many recent Shakespearean productions. Director Roger Hendricks
Simon is to be congratulated for his dedication to the inclusion of
all types of talented actors, and the large, enthusiastic crowd
